West Sunbury switching has 2 areas. North of the tracks; has an industrial area with mid-size/small mfg. The south side of the tracks being closer to the residential area (aisle) has wholesale and trucking facilities. Each area has its own siding.

The Susqehanna Mainline junctions with the Mt. Carmel branch in the center of Sunbury. The main line proceeds north via Helix #2 to lower level staging. The branch line begins eastward on the layout.
