Locust Gap is the easternmost town of the Reading main line from Williamsport to Reading PA on the layout. The principal industry is a coal breaker that is served by a number of local coal mines (3 on the layout). There are also a handful of local businesses that are served by the Reading.

Reading freight is served by the local Shamokin based eastbound local turn.

Mt. Carmel is the end of the PRR branch. It includes the interchange tracks with the Lehigh Valley for the Erie PA/Beth. Steel ore trains. The PRR local freight “turns” at Mt. Carmel with interchange with the Lehigh Valley.

Lehigh Valley Ore & Peddler freights enter/exit the layout at Mt. Carmel to/from staging via Helix #2.
