| McKinnley is a community serviced by the UP. McKinnley area has Cunningham Baking and receives mostly inbound flour, sugar, and packing products. Most finished goes out the other end via truck since it is highly perishable. McMillian publishing prints pocketbooks and National Hardware has their pacific northwest distribution center here servicing over 4500 hardware outlets. | |

McKinnley Fuel (mostly propane) and Quality Electronics are the only two sidings in West McKinnley. Quality Electronics makes custom perf boards for various companies nationwide. They do have a defense contract for something top secret for the government. |
| Downtown McKinnley is where most of the action is with the spurs to the Bakery and book publishing. National Hardware is the large spur at the top to the corner and almost forgot Spartan Industries, a big name for a little company that has niche manufacturing for a special safety electronic part used exclusive in auto computers. |

Of course we have a grain storage facility on the east side of town. There is so much grain brought in during season that storage is critical as there is not enough in the harbor area. |
