Columbia Cascade Railway -Cascade Yard at Portland (BN),

Seattle (UP) & Squamish (CP)

Cascade, Seattle, and Squamish are the Western end of the Columbia Cascade.  This area was originally designed to be operated as a yard, with caboose tracks and engine storage, but due to the number of folks it take to operate, we just currently have it set up as west end staging.  BN, CP, and UP trains originate here for movement over the road.   There are 12 tracks over 14 feet long to start our trip east.  As you can see, there is no scenery yet, but this winter will provide the time to begin.
Staging at the east end.  There are three UP tracks (Seattle) against the wall, two CP tracks (Squamish) and the 7 remaining to the front of the layout are BN (Cascade Yard at Portland) tracks.   Arrival and departure are the same.
East end of Cascade holds 3 tracks to the right for Caboose storage, both BN, UP, CP and the 4 remaining to the left are for engine storage.   This area can be operated as a yard.
