Incline
Village is on the east end of the layout. Sometimes a permanent
yard operator is assigned here, but usually the road crew of through
trains switches the industries. Industries include United Trucking,
W.R. Hall Shipping, Munson Tool & Die, Winebibber’s, Sunrise Feed,
the engine service facility with coal and diesel fuel, the team
track, the passenger & freight depot, and the Del Monte complex,
with 5 tracks for hoppers, reefers, shipping, receiving, and
miscellaneous, for a total of 39 spots. Also present are a
roundhouse, turntable, and a yard with spots for 22 cars. The Del
Monte buildings are fabricated from
Walther’s new modular's.
The Shipping and Receiving buildings took a combined total of four
3-in-1 kits.
During 4 interchange operation, this
area is the responsibility of the Virginia and Truckee River
Railroad (V&T). One employee switches the
DelMonte complex, while the other services the
Incline Village
industries.
