Layout Description:

One side of the layout is the SLSF's Kansas City Subdivision. Kansas City was the northern terminus for the SLSF Railroad. On this side of the layout are SLSF's two main yards, 19th St Yard, the inbound yard and Rosedale Yard, the outbound yard.

Also modeled are a couple of the switching districts in KC. The West Bottoms area and Zone 2, located between the 19th St Yard and Rosedale Yard.

The other side of the layout models the Missouri Pacific, with a condensed version of Neff Yard, the General Mills Bisquick factory, West Bottoms, and Armco industries.

The layout also features the Kansas City Terminal Transfer Yard, where 6 transfer trains enter the layout and exchange cars with the MoPac and the SLSF.
